What is Be the Choice?<\/h2>\n

Be the Choice<\/strong> is a not-for-profit organization changing the way breast cancer diagnoses are experienced and treatment options understood.\u00a0We have been working on developing a tool to help breast cancer patients make more informed decisions about their treatment options. The \u00ab\u00a0Decision Tree<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb aims\u00a0to shed light on breast cancer treatment options, show the connections between those decisions, and help other breast cancer patients understand and explore their healthcare choices.\u00a0It is easy to navigate and delivers\u00a0information in bit sized chunks.<\/p>\n

The theme of the event – Choice<\/strong> – reflects the core value embedded in the tree. Come and celebrate our work so far and help us develop and launch this tool.<\/p>\n

Why\u00a0should I give to Be\u00a0the Choice?<\/h3>\n

<\/a>
\nWe realize\u00a0that donating money is an important decision and\u00a0should be weighed carefully. In\u00a0the world of charities, we are unique: we have a singular focus (to deliver the tool),\u00a0a dynamic, efficient, and effective\u00a0volunteer leadership, unpaid medical experts, and minimal overhead expenses (about $500 a year).\u00a0The money you give will go directly to building the decision tree and will support the designers and software engineers working on the tool.<\/p>\n
